One hundred twenty-seven campuses hailed for their exemplary efforts in creating a culture of engagement and satisfaction in their communities.

Holleran, the nation’s leading research firm specializing in research and intelligence relating to older adults, has announced the recipients of the Holleran Highest Honors and Choice Community Awards for the second half of 2019.

Holleran’s Highest Honors recognizes organizations with strong cultures of engagement. These providers have demonstrated a commitment to becoming a best place to retire for residents and by cultivating an environment where employees choose to work. A proprietary algorithm, developed by Holleran’s highly trained statisticians, researchers, and analysts, determines Highest Honors recipients.

Additionally, Holleran has announced the bi-annual recipients of their Choice Community Awards. An individual set of criteria is used to determine these recipients. This places all award recipients within the top 15% above all communities surveyed since July of 2019.

Special congratulations are due to SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Luther Ridge. SpiriTrust achieved scores between the 95th and 97th percentile of the Holleran Benchmark across all four domains of Assisted Living Resident Engagement – Voice, Connection, Fulfillment, and Well-Being.

“The Village at Luther Ridge is honored to receive this award from Holleran. We pride ourselves in being rated a great place to live by our residents,” remarks Rachel Herrington, Executive Director at The Village at Luther Ridge. I am proud of our team members that serve our residents and provide an atmosphere of engaged living where they are able to age successfully.”

“Holleran is proud to award these communities with Highest Honors and Choice Community designations. These communities work hard to provide an environment that encourages growth and enrichment for its employees and prosperous aging for its residents,” says Nikki Rineer, President of Holleran. “These communities have a palpable heartbeat of engagement you can often feel the moment you step on campus. They are clearly doing things differently and deserve to earn this distinction that sets them apart from their peers.”

There is a notable change for Holleran’s Highest Honors moving into 2020. “Over the last two years, we’ve been incredibly impressed with the engagement levels we’re seeing from our Choice Community recipients,” notes Seth Anthony, Director of Sales, Marketing & Business Development for Holleran. “The Choice Community designation has become a mark of distinction in our space. As such, we are choosing to focus our attention on the Choice Community program going forward, and will be sunsetting our Highest Honors accolade. Just as any business evolves, so does Holleran, especially as we find more advanced metrics that enable us to recognize our most outstanding clients.”

Holleran has the largest benchmark of its kind, measuring both resident and employee engagement in the senior living space. Currently, the benchmark comprises more than 207,000 resident and employee surveys, all completed within the last two years. This enables organizations to compare their performance to their peers, whether they are across the road or across the country. Utilizing this extensive body of research, Holleran recognizes the most engaging senior living organizations in the nation.
